It has been a fun filled week to end the year in Spanish. Whether it was playing jeopardy, being a part of a sing-a-long or just reminiscing about our year, it was a great time overall. I wanted you to know I had a wonderful year with your children. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of their everyday lives and for encouraging the love of language. Have a wonderful summer!

Students in third grade finished off their "travels" to Peru by learning about Macchu Picchu. We spent two days talking about the "Lost City of the Incas." The students found it interesting how you can climb the mountain by foot or take a train to see see Macchu Picchu. They also liked to talk about how it was named one of the "Seven Wonders of the World." On day two of our lesson, students had the opportunity to build their own version of Macchu Picchu using unifix cubes. They worked together and created some complex structures. Not to mention, they had to speak all in Spanish! Take a look!
