3rd Grade Cinco de Mayo

¡Buenas Tardes y Feliz Cinco de Mayo!  3rd graders had so much fun celebrating the 5th of May in class this week.  Yesterday, we spent time talking about the importance of the holiday and playing an interactive computer game.  It was amazing how many of them remembered it is not the Mexican Independence Day but rather a time we celebrate the Mexican victory during The Battle of Puebla. Although the Mexican army was smaller than the French, they were perseverant and were able to use various strategies to outsmart France.  Ask your child to tell you all about it!  Today in class the students made maracas to celebrate!  It was a blast!
