4th/5th grade skits

¡Hola!  This week the students in 4th and 5th grade finished writing and performing their own skits in Spanish.  They were asked to use vocabulary from the unit (what they like to do in their free time and why) to create a skit in the setting of their choice.  It was amazing to see how they incorporated vocabulary from the past and the present.  One student even exclaimed, "I just wrote a whole script in Spanish!"  I hope they were all this proud of the work they did.  Check out the link below to see your child's skit.

Update for all grades!

¡Buenos días!  It has been an exciting week in 4th/5th grade Spanish.  Students have been reviewing their hobby vocabulary by playing games and participating in activities during class time.  Family Feud has seemed to be their favorite so far.  On Wednesday and Thursday, students were put in groups to play our own rendition of the popular game show.  In order to practice the structure, ¿Por qué? (why) and porque (because) students were asked to answer several questions in this format.  It was incredible to see their creative responses in Spanish (check out the pictures below).  Next week, classes will get the opportunity to write their own skits to practice even more!

3rd grade Spanish has been a blast!  Today, we finished up daily routine vocabulary such as "Me despierto." (I wake up.), "Como el desayuno."  (I eat breakfast.), and "Me cepillo los dientes." (I brush my teeth).   It has been a great challenge to practice entire phrases!  We have played lots of review games such as connect 4, heads up 7-up etc.  I hope you will have your kids show you what they know at the dinner table.  I know you'll be impressed!
